SPOT

Imagine my surprise when I picked Brock up a couple of weeks ago from the baby sitter to find that he was covered in hives from head to foot. I ran him to the doctor who said he was allergic to penicillin. He had his last dose of Amoxicillin four days before the rash appeared (apparently there is a delayed reaction to penicillin). Who knew that penicillin stays in your body 5 to 7 days after you have taken it? Brock was such a big boy about the whole thing. The rash didn't seem to bother him too bad, but he had to have a steroid shot. If he was a good medicine taker he wouldn't of had to have the shot, but when you are naughty that is what happens. This picture doesn't begin to capture how bad he looked. In fact, he is looking much better an hour after the shot isn't he?

Zacky is allergic to penicillin too. (But I can't spell it.) It freaked me out. Now we both get to remember that allergy anytime we go to the doctor or fill out forms. Fun!
